How to Copy Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 lists to another server or site collection

For the past two weeks I’ve been onsite at a client of my company, Springhouse Education and Consulting Services, working on a large SharePoint Branding and Customization project. I have to work in a development environment with an install on a virtual pc on my laptop and finally on a client’s new dev server. 

I am going to need a method to transfer my work from dev to prod since I’m working with WSS 3.0 and not MOSS, no content migrator.

So here is a solution I located in a search:
