Ok, for all of you that are believers, guess what…this is real. But for those of you with more than two brain cells to rub together you’ll figure out how this guy does this levitation trick. If you can figure it out, please leave some comments.
Here is a letter I wrote to Crutchfield.com regarding probably my BEST online shopping experience ever!
I have got to give you guys credit where credit is deserved! Since placing my order on October 16th, I have had the best experience with an online purchase, EVER! It all started when a nice lady from your customer service department called me within minutes of me placing my order. She called to remind me that I had a $20 credit to use and asked if I wanted to apply it to my order. Heck yeah! First thumbs up to you guys!
Ok, I had some problems getting my factory receiver out of my 2003 Ford Escape, called into tech support and the guy was helpful, I would say he did give me a few pointers and tricks on how to remove the receiver. I had been struggling for an hour! I finally removed the receiver with a little “force” and “prying”, who cares, I wasn’t going to use the old receiver, it’s still works however!
Ok and then this evening I chatted online with Gwen and explained how when i ordered the receiver I didn’t think my Escape had the MACH stereo in it. (thinking back to when we bought the Escape, “why would my wife allow me to get the better receiver! haha) Well she did! So when I installed the JVC receiver and the wiring harness that was sent with my original order I had a few connections not connected and the sounds of the receiver is good, but NOT great and sometimes not as good as the factory model. So I figured out I needed a different harness. Gwen was going to send that out to me asap! Double thumbs up!
anyway, give your support team a pat on the back and all around the Crutchfield company. You guys have my business!
Anyway if you are in the market for any electronics, whether home audio/video or car receivers and accessories, don’t think, just type www.crutchfield.com into your browsers address bar and you’ll receive great electronics at a great price with the greatest customer support out there! One thing, if you do decide to buy here is an incentive for you and to help me out.
You will get $20 off your first order if you use my referral code: pub2f-67729-7ej42) [hmm, not sure if the referral code requires that ending ) but give it a try] Thanks!
Oh great! I just saw this as a headline on MSNBC.com that NASA is refusing to release data regarding airplace near misses and more! I’m not a very good flyer to begin with and now I have this to deal with.
Anxious to avoid upsetting air travelers, NASA is withholding results from an unprecedented national survey of pilots that found safety problems like near collisions and runway interference occur far more frequently than the government previously recognized.
Well whatta ya know? Google announced a week or so ago that they are now offering free information calls, that’s right, instead of directory assistance fees on your home or cell phone, Google’s service is F-R-E-E!
It’s pretty simple and fun to use! Of course if you don’t like FULLY automated voice response systems you won’t like this service. So here’s how it works:
You’re at home, work, the car and you’re getting hungry
You decide pizza is a good idea to satisfy your appetite
Grab your phone and dial, 1-800-GOOG-411 (1-800-4664-411) and you’ll be connected to Google’s 411 directory.
You’ll be prompted for “What City and State?”
Ok, speak clearly as the first time I did this I mumbled Pennsylvania and the lookup failed. So I said, Exton, Pennsylvania
Say the name or business type you are interested in
“PIZZA!!!”
Google’s search will read off the top 8 or so results found, how cool is that!?
Once you hear the name you want just say “number 3″ for the third listing.
Voila! You’re then whisked away through the magic of the Google to that business.
Hmmm, so now is Google tracking who’s calling what number? Like are they Caller ID’ing my phone number when I dial their service and then see what I’m searching on? Not like this would be a first for them.
Oh and while on this topic, just a reminder that you can SMS/text message GOOGL (46645) from your mobile phone and then get local listings, weather, sports, definitions, flight info, maps, and a whole lot more. Here is a link to GoogleSMS.
I’ve been learning a lot about how Google ranks web sites and also how they penalize web sites and push them out of the SERPS and basically into a “web blackhole”. I’m learning all of this for a few reasons which are to keep the sites I manage and my work’s web site moving UP on Google’s rankings and NOT getting penalized.
This article from David Airey on how his site climbed out of the penalty and back into the limelight is a good one to read and learn from.
From the Winner’s Circle in Exton, PA, Philly fans hung out Wednesday afternoon and cheered on the Phils. But all that cheering wasn’t enough to help the Phillies overcome a 4-2 loss to the Colorado Rockies. But from an article on the Daily Local News, that really doesn’t matter to these fans. They seemed to just be thrilled to see post season baseball in Philadelphia!
A quote from the newspaper article:
“It’s just exciting to have baseball in October,” said Dan, who was at the bar watching the game with several of his co-workers. They all work at a Downingtown business that closed early so the employees could watch the game.
