How to Remove Tourists from Your Photos

August 21, 2007

I found this article to be very useful and will certainly give it a try the next time i want NO TOURISTS in my photos.  I actually did something similar on a picture of the Taj Mahal that my wife took while on a business trip to India.

I used Adobe Photoshop to paint over the people the best I could. One good thing was that she took the photo a good distance from the Taj Mahal therefore it was pretty simple to select the color of the sky (BRIGHT BLUE DAY) and just paint over the tiny heads of people.

Anyway, this guys article gives a different approach to obtaining “tourist free photos”.

Every notable landmark seems to have one thing in common: visitors, and lots of them. But if you want that postcard shot or that image that shows how the location may have once appeared, you have a challenge ahead of you. This digital photography and PhotoShop tutorial will provide a means to remove the tourist throngs from your vacation images.
